Counselling for Stress
Life is full of stressful events, but very high stress levels over a prolonged period of time can effect our whole lives and can lead to panic attacks and/or depression.
High levels of stress can make you feel as though you cannot cope and feel overwhelmed. Symptoms can include difficulties in: concentrating, sleeping, eating, forming and maintaining relationships, as well as social withdrawal. It can also lead to physical symptoms such as skin problems, IBS, headaches and high blood pressure.
Counselling and psychotherapy can help by uncovering the underlying causes of stress and helping you to view yourself and life differently. I can work with you to explore the causes of stress, including those created by work pressures, family, relationships and past experiences.
